One of the many questions brides ask themselves immediately after receiving a wedding proposal: what month to plan the wedding?
Choosing the preferred season for the wedding day may depend on several factors, first and foremost on the type of wedding you want to organize, the atmosphere you want to recreate, the colours, scents and flavours, reminding us that all seasons have their unique characteristics, with merits and flaws.
The season, in general, preferred by couples is spring-summer, sunny and warm, with longer days assuring more hours of sunlight, ideal for the photo shoot to capture all the nuances during the whole day.
In the summer time people prefer to dine outdoors, to dance and have fun on lawns or among the olive trees of a perfect location immerged in the nature.
On the other hand, however, one should never underestimate the much-feared Plan B, because spring-summer can also bring unpredictable surprises. Therefore, it is essential in choosing a location to “fall in love” with plan B as well, to avoid, should a sudden rain occur, to live with anxiety on the much desired day.
It is therefore extremely important to choose a versatile location from the point of view of indoor and outdoor spaces, which allows you to change plans even at the last moment for the success of the event.
More and more locations that have become municipal houses hold civil and/or symbolic rites, so it is necessary for it to enjoy spaces internally that can also be used as Plan B for the celebration of the rite as well as for the reception.
A winter wedding, on the other hand, gives magical and romantic atmospheres, preferring warm colours, lights and candles that will warm the hearts of the bride and groom and not only that, they will make everyone become children again a bit, reliving the seductive atmosphere of Christmas and the hearth that even summer lovers usually appreciate.
The peculiarity of the winter wedding is that necessarily all the indoor spaces are used for all the moments of the wedding, including the rite, consequently avoiding having to change plans due to bad weather and instead enjoy, as often happens in Puglia even in the winter period, warm rays of sunshine that will still allow all the outdoor spaces to be used for the photo shoot.
However, several factors affect the choice of the wedding month such as honeymoon destination, budget, work, etc., which sometimes make it necessary to choose one period rather than another.
Last, but not least, is also the day on which to get married: there is no such thing as just Saturday!
The wedding day is YOUR day, you don’t have to please only your guests by giving up what you most want, so Thursday or Saturday doesn’t change: it will still be beautiful!
